Two months after a girl married a boy against her parents’ wishes, her brother from Haryana, along with his aides, reaches her in-laws’ residence, serves them sweets laced with poison, and kidnaps his sister. The suspect, identified as Ajay Bazigar, and unknown people had been booked under Section 328 (inflicting harm via poison) and 365 (kidnapping) of the IPC.
The complainant, Joe, a resident of Haqiqat Nagar, Haibowal Kalan, informed the police that he, alongside his mom Sonia, brother Phillip and his wife Sunita Rani, lived in rented accommodation right here. “On June 12, my wife’s brother Ajay reached our residence with a container of candies. He provided candies to all members of my family. After having goodies, we all fell unconscious. The next morning, when I woke up, I found all my relatives unconscious and my wife missing.
“When I raised a hue and cry, the neighbors gathered there. They instructed me that around 5 am, 3 people were sporting something big wrapped in black fabric. I suspect my brother-in-law had kidnapped my spouse and took her to Haryana,” the complainant alleged.
