(June 10, 2019) – Summer is here, and the amusement is just getting started at UTSA. A complete slate of summer season camps begins this week on the UTSA Main and Downtown Campuses. UTSA camps cover each hobby from technology, engineering, and structure to sports, music, and writing.
Each camp gives kids and teens a place to attempt something new at the same time, while having a laugh and experiencing life on a university campus. Throughout the summertime, UTSA hosts half-day and full-day periods at the Main and Downtown Campuses. Some ultimate days whilst others expand every week.
This week’s camps consist of:
Football Camps
UTSA Football education personnel and individuals of the United States Football Team host three different camps this week. Future Runners in 2nd through 8th grades build an excellent foundation for the sport. The kicking camp is designed for punters, kickers, and long snappers from 9th grade to age 24. Friday Night Lights offers the same age group an energetic and aggressive camp under the lights at UTSA.
Men’s Basketball Skills Camp
This camp for third through twelfth graders specializes in developing the game’s basics while taking campers through drills to practice and enhance their game. Campers may even get hold of skill preparation from UTSA players and coaches at some point of each day competitions and games.
Baseball Youth Camp
This complete day camp for five to 14-year-olds will train them in hitting, infield and outfield play, bunting and base walking, pitching, and catching. The children will compete within the Roadrunner Olympics on the final morning of camp.
