RICHLAND TOWNSHIP — After retiring as the Conemaugh Township head soccer coach, Sam Zambanini will serve as an assistant for the South at the 49th annual Ken Lantzy “Finest 40” All-Star Classic on Friday, marking one of his final professional games as an educator.
Zambanini stepped down after 22 years as head educator following the Indians’ very last sport in 2018, a loss to Shade at Windber Stadium. He compiled a 119-108 record in tenures as an educator. After going 2-16 in 1987-88, the Indians went 117-92 from 1999 to 2018.
Conemaugh Township additionally won 3 District 5 titles for the duration of his second run.

“It means lots to play for (Zambanini) one final time,” Poznanski said. “We’ve been together for 4 years throughout the U.S.A.And downs. To have him as an educator for my final recreation manner is plenty.
