Married to Medicine’s Quad Webb Shares Funny Father’s Day Memories

Memphis native Quad Webb grew up learning to cook dinner from her mother, and by no means lost her love for spending time in the kitchen. She’s won a following on Instagram for her #CookingwithQuad tutorials for dishes like fowl spinach lasagne and a 20-minute shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta with sautéed broccolini. Now primarily based in Atlanta, the co-host of TV One’s communication show Sister Circle is known for her colorful persona, self-belief, humor, and enviable fashion. Webb has also starred on six seasons of Bravo’s reality series Married to Medicine, which follows girls’ lives and wives of medical doctors in Atlanta. The series confirmed the ups and downs of her marriage to Dr. Gregory Lunceford, and in September 2018, Webb confirmed she had filed for divorce after six years of marriage.

Throughout the tough procedure, Webb has remained advantageous. At the Married to Medicine season six reunion taping in November of that year, she shared, “I am very optimistic about my future. I’m looking forward to it; I’m enthusiastic about it. It’s gonna be a whole lot of joy, due to the fact I’m gonna see to it that it’s gonna be a happy and comfortable life moving ahead.” And she has lots to sit up for. Webb is celebrating the release of her new cookbook, Cooking with Miss Quad: Live, Love, Laugh, and Eat, and getting ready for a cooking demo at the Essence Festival this July.

Webb’s cooking has become so famous amongst her buddies that many have commenced calling on her to drop off dishes to impress their households or a “catch-a-man-meal” for a critical date. Now she’s sharing the recipes and hints to help others emerge as a sought-after kitchen queen. In her new e-book, she goes over the entirety you’d need to know to throw a dinner party, from the right lights and room temperature to a way to plate meals to make it look greater scrumptious. And the recipes are approachable. Some are her dishes are spins on Southern classics, and others are made for enjoyment. She also gives scrumptious nuggets of understanding, like suggesting to serve lemon pepper warm wings with a glass of accurate Champagne.

In the ebook, Webb remembers an afternoon when she was 12 years old and made her dad one of his favorite dishes, salmon croquettes. Thinking she had cooked them much like her mother made them, she turned keen to see her dad’s reaction. However, after one chunk, it turned clear that something changed off whilst he stated, “Pumpkin, these are scrumptious. However, I think that your mother eliminates the bones!” Webb spoke with Parade.com approximately her close relationship with her father, her recent health scare, and her weekend entertaining suggestions. Plus, she shares the recipe for the well-known salmon croquettes—don’t forget to do away with the bones!

What does a perfect day of excitement for friends or family appear to be?

When I entertain, I commonly start the morning searching for the meal at Buford Highway Farmers Market. I love that. It has everything you’d need; it’s vibrant and easy. Then I go domestic to prep. I like to have music on even as I paint – Sade flows well, and I love the lyrics. I would possibly try and set my table in advance of time, selecting my linens and plates depending on the season and what I’m cooking. You can never go wrong with white and gold. When buddies arrive, it’s time for cocktails to set the tone, and we go from there.

What have Sundays been like growing up?

Growing up, Sunday was continually an own family day. We’d go to church, have dinner, and then a few family interests, like going to the park or the movies. Dinner might be a pot roast with potatoes and carrots or a smoked brisket. What is your preferred meal to cook for dinner on Sunday? I haven’t had the opportunity to have an actual Sunday dinner in quite a while; however, after I do, I’d get things commenced with blueberry bourbon lemonades and then grill a few lamb chops.
